AION 2 Leveling Guide 1–45: Main Quest Priority and Beginner Route

Reaching level 45 in AION 2 is much easier when you treat the Main Story Quest as the backbone of your progression instead of trying to complete every quest on the map. The story provides the main flow of experience while also opening new areas, systems, and progression content.

The goal is not to finish every available quest. It is to keep your character moving forward without wasting time on unnecessary travel, weak rewards, or early gear that will quickly become obsolete.

Levels 1–10: Follow the Main Story

The opening section is straightforward. Follow the Main Story Quest and use it to learn your class, combat abilities, movement, and basic progression systems.

At this stage, avoid spending too much time farming regular monsters. The experience from random grinding is generally less useful than simply continuing the story.

You should:

Follow the main quest whenever it is available.
Equip better gear as you receive it.
Learn your core class skills early.
Complete nearby objectives when they overlap with the main quest.
Avoid unnecessary backtracking.

The first levels should feel fast. If you are spending a long time clearing unrelated side content, you are probably moving away from the most efficient route.

Levels 10–20: Add Useful Side Content

Around this stage, the game begins giving you more reasons to explore beyond the main quest. This does not mean every green quest suddenly becomes mandatory.

A good rule is simple: complete side quests that are close to your current route or provide useful progression rewards.

Side content can provide additional experience, equipment, skill-related rewards, and other resources. Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds can also be useful when they fit naturally into your route.

Do not teleport across the map just to complete a low-value quest. The travel time can easily cancel out the reward.

Levels 20–30: Use Side Content to Fix Gaps

This is where many new players start running into level requirements. The Main Story may eventually ask you to reach another level before allowing the next section to continue.

When this happens, do not immediately start grinding mobs for hours.

Instead, check your nearby content in this order:

  • Finish unfinished main-story objectives.
  • Complete nearby regional or side quests.
  • Clear accessible Sealed Dungeons.
  • Check Strongholds and other useful progression activities.
  • Upgrade equipment if combat is becoming difficult.
  • Return to the Main Story.

This approach turns a level gap into a short progression break instead of a complete change of direction.

What to Do When You Get Stuck

There are several reasons your progression can slow down. You may be below the required level, struggling against a story boss, or simply lacking enough combat power.

The solution depends on the problem.

If you are under the level requirement:
Complete nearby side quests and available progression content.

If a boss is difficult:
Upgrade your weapon and important equipment before trying again. Also review your skills rather than relying entirely on higher stats.

If enemies take too long to kill:
Check your equipment, skill setup, and offensive progression.

If you are short on resources:
Use nearby dungeons, Strongholds, and appropriate quests instead of repeatedly farming random enemies.

Saving Aion 2 Kinah for meaningful upgrades is also important. There is little value in heavily investing in equipment that you expect to replace shortly afterward.

Levels 30–45: Return to the Story

Once you reach the later leveling stages, the Main Story becomes even more important. Instead of clearing every green quest before moving forward, focus on completing content that directly helps you continue the campaign.

Your priority should look like this:

Main Story → nearby useful side content → progression activity → Main Story again

This keeps your character moving toward level 45 without turning the leveling process into a checklist of every quest on the map.

At this stage, avoid constantly replacing equipment just because an item has slightly better numbers. Look for upgrades that make a noticeable difference to your damage, survivability, or overall build.

Which Side Quests Are Worth Doing?

Not every side quest deserves the same amount of time.

High Priority
Side quests directly along your main-story route
Quests that provide useful equipment
Quests connected to important progression systems
Objectives that can be completed together with the Main Story
Content that helps solve a current level or power gap
Medium Priority
Nearby quests with reasonable XP
Regional objectives that require little extra travel
Side content that gives useful materials while leveling
Low Priority
Quests requiring long detours
Low-value objectives that can be postponed
Repeatable activities when the Main Story is still available
Random monster grinding without a specific purpose

There is no need to finish every side quest before level 45. Many can be saved for later when you have a specific reason to return to the area.

Gear and Resource Management During 1–45

Your leveling equipment is temporary, so avoid treating every upgrade as a final build piece.

Use quest rewards and dungeon drops to replace outdated gear naturally. Spend resources when an upgrade helps you clear content faster, but do not burn everything on equipment that will soon be replaced.

The same principle applies when looking at cheap Aion 2 Items. The important question is not simply whether an item is inexpensive, but whether it actually improves your current progression. A useful weapon or meaningful upgrade is far more valuable than collecting several minor upgrades that barely change your performance.

The Simple 1–45 Rule

If you want one rule to remember throughout the entire leveling process, use this:

Follow the Main Story until you hit a wall. Then solve the wall with the nearest useful content and return to the story.

That means you do not need to rush through every side quest, nor do you need to ignore side content completely. A balanced route keeps the campaign moving while using regional quests, dungeons, Strongholds, and equipment upgrades whenever they solve a real progression problem.

By level 45, your goal is not just to have reached the level cap. You should also have a functional build, reasonable equipment, and a good understanding of the systems you will rely on for endgame progression.
