Runes are only half of the Ber crafting process. You also need the correct gem for the Cube recipe.
Grand Topaz is required for converting two Lo Runes into Ber. Keep useful gems rather than automatically selling or discarding every one you find.
This becomes particularly important when you are preparing several expensive Runewords. Having the required gem ready means you can immediately complete the Cube conversion when the necessary Runes finally appear.
When to Keep or Convert Runes
Do not automatically convert every Lo Rune as soon as you obtain one. Check your planned Runewords first.
For example, if another build upgrade specifically requires Lo, spending two Lo Runes to create Ber may delay that craft. On the other hand, if Enigma or another Ber-based Runeword is your immediate goal, converting the Lo Runes can move your character closer to the finished item.
The same principle applies to other valuable crafting materials.
Making Ber Farming More Efficient
Efficient farming is less about finding one perfect activity and more about reducing wasted time. Choose content your character can clear consistently, keep Rune rewards, and combine Rune farming with equipment and material collection.
If you are considering Diablo IV Gold, remember that Gold cannot replace the Rune and gem requirements for crafting Ber. Your farming plan still needs to account for the actual ingredients required by the Horadric Cube.
Avoid spending valuable resources on temporary upgrades when you are saving for an expensive Runeword.
Planning for Enigma and Infinity
Before crafting Ber, decide which Runeword you are working toward. Enigma requires one Ber, while Infinity requires two.
This difference can significantly change how long your farming plan takes.
Prepare the compatible base item and the other Runes in advance so that your Ber does not sit unused after you finally obtain it. Once every ingredient is ready, the Horadric Cube can turn your collected materials into the Runeword you have been working toward.
