Expedition 5 is one of the most important progression goals in ARC Raiders, and preparing early can save a huge amount of time later. The fifth Expedition window opens on September 8 and runs until September 29, with no Last Call period this time. Players must register during the official window if they want to participate.
The Expedition is divided into several preparation phases, with the first four requiring specific materials. The fifth phase then asks players to meet value requirements across combat items, survival items, provisions, and materials. The final departure phase determines the long-term benefits passed to the next Raider.

The complete fixed-material list contains 16 different items. The biggest early requirements are Metal Parts, Plastic Parts, and ARC Alloy, while the later phases become much more demanding because of rare components such as Bastion Cells, Magnetic Accelerators, and Rocketeer Drivers.
Farm Common Materials First
Do not wait until the Expedition window opens to start collecting basic resources. Metal Parts and Plastic Parts are relatively common, but the quantities required are large. Keep them whenever possible instead of immediately recycling or selling them.
This is also where your general ARC Raiders Items stockpile becomes valuable. Rather than making separate farming trips for every requirement, keep useful materials during normal raids and let the stash gradually build toward the Expedition checklist.
Target Mechanical and Electrical Loot
Once the basic materials are covered, focus on locations containing machinery, electronics, and industrial containers. Mechanical Components, Voltage Converters, and ARC Circuitry become more important during the middle stages.
Dam Battlegrounds is a useful option for this type of farming because areas containing generators, industrial equipment, and technical loot can produce several relevant materials in the same run. Stella Montis can also be effective when you need more specialized containers and higher-value resources.
Prioritize Rare ARC Components
The real bottlenecks are the rare requirements. Bastion Cells, Magnetic Accelerators, Advanced Mechanical Components, and Rocketeer Drivers should be collected whenever you have a reasonable opportunity.
Instead of forcing a single item every raid, build flexible routes around ARC-heavy areas. Fighting Bastions or Rocketeers can provide useful drops, but only take those encounters when your loadout and extraction plan are strong enough to handle the risk.
Prepare the Value Requirements
Phase 5 is different because it is based on item value rather than a fixed shopping list. You need 200,000 value in combat items, 100,000 in survival items, 150,000 in provisions, and 300,000 in materials.
That means you should avoid selling everything simply because you do not currently need it. Valuable items can become useful toward the Expedition total, and keeping a dedicated stash makes the final preparation much easier.
Manage Your Coins Carefully
ARC Raiders Coins can also become useful when you are trying to fill gaps in your preparation. However, farming should remain the priority. Spending resources too early can leave you short when you need to craft equipment, replace lost gear, or prepare for difficult runs.
A good strategy is to separate your stash into three groups: fixed Expedition materials, high-value items for Phase 5, and general raid equipment. This prevents accidental recycling or selling of something you will need later.
The most efficient approach is simple: collect common materials during normal raids, target technical areas for mechanical and electrical components, and prioritize rare ARC drops whenever the opportunity appears. Do not wait until the last few days to begin.
