Reaching Level 100 is not the end of progression in Hero Siege Season 10. Once you hit the level cap, your focus shifts toward Hero Levels and the Incarnation system. The problem is that early Hero Levels can feel painfully slow if you simply keep running normal maps.
Fortunately, Season 10 has a much faster farming method built around Colossal Chests, Bloating enemies, and the Ether Tree.
What You Need Before Starting
The first important requirement is the Ready to Pop node in the Overworld section of the Ether Tree.
Ready to Pop gives monsters spawned from Colossal Chests a chance to appear with the Bloating affix. These enemies can produce large amounts of experience through the small XP orbs they spawn when killed.
You need 17 Ether Points to reach Ready to Pop, so a freshly capped character may need to complete additional Ether quests before the strategy becomes available.
If you are not there yet, do not worry. Chaos Towers are a useful early Hero Level option while you build up enough Ether Points.
Why Bloating Is So Important
The entire strategy revolves around creating a large monster pack and killing it quickly.
Bloating enemies drop multiple purple experience orbs, allowing a single Colossal Chest event to provide a surprisingly large amount of Hero Level experience.
This is why the strategy is much faster than simply clearing an entire map. You are concentrating your time on the highest-value part of the zone instead of fighting every monster you encounter.
The key is experience per minute, not how much of the map you complete.
Why Misty Swamp?
Several maps can be used for Colossal Chest farming, including King’s Garden, Pyramid Level 1, Misty Swamp, and Steam Train.
For pure XP farming, however, Misty Swamp is one of the best choices.
The map is relatively easy to navigate, the Colossal Chest can be reached quickly, and current Season 10 testing reports strong Bloating enemy density from the chest event. The chest’s proximity to the waypoint also makes repeated resets extremely efficient.
That combination is what makes Misty Swamp so attractive.
The Basic Farming Loop
The actual rotation is extremely simple:
Enter Misty Swamp → Find the Colossal Chest → Activate the event → Kill the Bloating enemies → Collect the XP orbs → Reset → Repeat.
You do not need to clear the entire map.
If the chest is poorly positioned or takes too long to reach, resetting the map can be more efficient than wasting time fighting through the zone.
The faster you reach the chest, the more runs you can complete per hour.
Movement Speed Matters
Your damage is important, but movement speed can be just as valuable for this farming method.
Teleport, Dash, or another reliable movement skill can significantly reduce the time between the waypoint and the Colossal Chest.
Once the Bloating enemies spawn, your priority is also simple: kill the entire pack as quickly as possible.
Do not deliberately make the enemies much harder to kill just to increase the theoretical rewards. If a modifier slows your clear speed, it can actually reduce your XP per hour.
What If You Cannot Farm Misty Swamp Yet?
Start with King’s Garden.
It is considered a safer option because it is an earlier area and is easier for characters that are still getting comfortable with higher difficulty content. Once your damage and defenses improve, move to Misty Swamp for better efficiency.
You can also use Chaos Towers during the earlier stages of Hero Level progression. Their Bloating enemies can provide useful XP, making them a practical stepping stone before the Colossal Chest strategy becomes available.
Make Gold While Leveling
One advantage of the Colossal Chest method is that you are not earning experience alone.
These runs can also produce higher-tier equipment, giving you additional loot to sell, keep, or use for crafting and progression.
That means you can build Hero Siege Gold while leveling your Hero Level instead of treating XP farming and currency farming as completely separate activities.
Just remember to keep your Loot Filter under control. Picking up every low-value item can quickly destroy the efficiency of the entire run.
Should You Buy Gear?
If your character cannot kill the Bloating pack quickly enough, improve your build first.
Upgrade your weapon, skill bonuses, survivability, and movement speed before worrying about perfect endgame equipment.
If you eventually decide to buy Hero Siege Items, target the specific pieces that improve your clear speed rather than replacing your entire character’s gear at once.
For Season 10, the progression is straightforward:
Level 100 → Earn enough Ether Points → Unlock Ready to Pop → Improve chest discovery → Farm Colossal Chests → Kill Bloating packs → Collect XP → Reset → Repeat.
Start with safer maps if necessary, then move to Misty Swamp once your character can clear it comfortably.
The biggest mistake is spending several minutes clearing an entire map. This strategy works because you ignore everything that does not contribute directly to the next Colossal Chest.
Get in, find the chest, destroy the Bloating pack, collect the XP, reset, and do it again. That is currently one of the most efficient ways to push Hero Levels in Season 10.
